Welcome to our 2005 Christmas page. We
apologize for the delay in its appearance as medical school has
kept us quite busy this year. I just took the second step
of boards (three total) and am looking forward to graduating in
June. Chris just finished his surgery rotation
and seemed to really enjoy it (except for the long and early
hours).

I did a month long rotation in pediatric nephrology (kids'
kidneys) at UCSD's Children's Hospital to get to know the
program a little better in hopes of us getting a residency in
San Diego in the next couple of years. We'll be
applying for residency together next year (fall 2006) for when
Chris graduates (2007).

One of our fun new additions was our
bearded dragon named Marshmallow. He's grown a lot since
we got him in June. However, he still hasn't learned what
his food bowl looks like - which requires us to feed him by hand
every night.

He gets very excited for crickets or worms and will follow you
all around the side of his cage if he thinks you're about to
feed him. Chris bought him a lizard leash, but we have yet
to figure out how to get him in it.

We still have our fishies which have had lots of babies this
year. Some of our platys are third and fourth generation
now. Chris has vowed the Christmas card will look very
different once we live in an apartment that allows us to have a
dog.
Our
free time (HA) finds us at various Chicago attractions such as
the Lincoln Park Zoo and baseball games. This is Sara
(Chris's sister) and me at a Cubs game. We also went to
several White Sox games, though surprisingly they lost every
game we went to, which is why we did not go to any World Series
Games (besides the financial aspect), cuz we wanted them to win.
AND THEY DID. GO SOX! (Don't worry, I'm still a
Padres fan at heart. They just lost very quickly in the
playoffs.)
We hope you have had a wonderful
Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year in 2006!
